Strategic Research Program "High-Energy Physics"

Activities

We organize several common activities among the groups composing the HEP @ VUB strategic research collaboration, including regular HEP@VUB meetings, a program of external visitors and seminars.

The experimental groups and the Pheno group are embedded into the Interuniversity Institute for High energy Physics (IIHE), which includes researchers from the Vrije Universiteit of Brussel (VUB) and the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), whose main topic of research is elementary particle physics. They organize several activities and in particular a regular series of seminars . Moreover, the Theory department at the VUB, together with the ULB, the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) and the support of the International Solvay Institutes, organizes a weekly series of seminars about formal aspects of High Energy Physics.

We have active collaborations and interactions with nearby research groups, i.e. the Center for Cosmology, Particle Physics and Phenomenology (CP3) in UCL and the Service de Physique Theorique at the ULB. There is a common webpage collecting the information about the seminars of the groups involved in the network IAP VII/37 - "Fundamental Interactions: at the boundary of Theory, Phenomenology and Experiment".
