Winner of Document Layout Contest

Tan Lu and Ann Dooms from the DIMA research group officially won the ICDAR Competition on Recognition of Documents with Complex Layouts:

The algorithm blindly detects text & other content types in document scans with very high accuracy by relying on a probabilistic framework quantifying "text homogeneity”.
