CHIS-researchers win IAS Award & Poster Prize at FOA12

Dr. ir. Julien Cousin Saint Remi received the IAS Award for Excellence in the PhD dissertation at the 12th International Conference on the Fundamentals of Adsorption (FOA12), held in Germany between May 29th and June 3rd, 2016.

This triennial Award provides recognition to exceptional young scientists or engineers all over the world, who have performed original doctoral thesis work of outstanding quality, achievement and impact in the area of adsorption. Dr. ir. Julien Cousin Saint Remi won the IAS Awards for his PhD thesis entitled “Adsorption and diffusion in porous materials in the context of biobutanol recovery and purification”.

And yet another award was won at the same FOA12 conference: colleague Dr. ir. Sarah Couck was awarded with the Best Poster Prize for her poster entitled “3D printed monoliths for CO2 separation”.
