Our research focuses on understanding human diseases. In particular, we aim to shed light on molecular mechanisms involved in the emergence and/or maintenance of human pathologies. Currently, most of our efforts are aimed to characterize aberrant cell signaling occurring in human cancers (lung and brain). Our laboratory has a strong expertise on biochemical and cellular pathways mediated by protein posttranslational modifications such as phosphorylation and ubiquitination. We also have a general interest in mechanisms of cell cycle control and neurological diseases.
