I am a geographic researcher at the Department of Geography of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. I hold a BSc in Geographic Information System and a MSc in Physical Geography from China University of Mining and Technology, and a PhD in Geography from VUB. I worked as a university lecturer at China University of Mining and Technology from 2017-2020 and reviewed research articles for more than 20 journals mainly in the fields of geographic and environmental research.

My research work focuses on the use of remote sensing and GIS data and techniques to address a variety of geographic and environmental issues. These include (1) urban and natural surface mapping; (2) vegetation monitoring on urban and volcanic areas; (3) natural hazards and risk assessment, and (4) land use & planning and their environmental impacts.
