Organisation academic year 2020-2021
In your schedule you'll find different types of courses:
Please note: Are you taking a course at another faculty or university? Education might be organised differently there, follow their guidelines for that specific course.
All students will be allocated a colour (orange or blue), but only after (re-)enrolment and based on the courses they are registered for.
We will also allocate a colour (orange or blue) to every weekday. You can see the colours if you consult the timetable, at the start of each day.
For courses in the ‘rotation system’ only students who are allocated the same colour as the day of the week, can be physically present in class. Students who are allocated the other colour, follow that class online.
Teaching staff will check this and only allow students in class with the same colour as the weekday.
Please note: these colours are independent of the WPO/Practical-groups that might be formed in some programmes. Does your programme use different groups for practicals? In that case you will be part of a WPO/Practicals group AND still be allocated a colour.
Allocation of WPO/Practical groups and rotation colours
It is crucial to finalise your (re-)enrolment and course registration as soon as possible. Without a colour code or a WPO/Practicals group you are not allowed to physically participate in classes.
After completing your (re-)enrolment at VUB consult the Canvas Community Faculteit Wetenschappen en Bio-Ingenieurswetenschappen for the list of colour codes. This list will be updated on a daily basis.
The group division for WPO/Practicals will be done by the programmes.
|Guest student (meaning: student enrolled at another institution, but taking courses at our faculty).||
You complete your registration as a guest student by filling in the dedicated online form.
As soon as your registration is processed, you can consult the Canvas Community Faculteit Wetenschappen en Bio-Ingenieurswetenschappen, where the list of colour codes will be updated on a daily basis.
|Exchange student (e.g. Erasmus+)||
You complete your registration as an exchange student by uploading your signed Certificate of Arrival.
As soon as your course registrations are processed, you can consult the Canvas Community Faculteit Wetenschappen en Bio-Ingenieurswetenschappen where the list of colour codes will be updated on a daily basis.
|Student from another VUB faculty (not WE)||
