01/12/2020 - 14:30

On this page, we have collected all relevant information regarding the organisation of this specific exam period for the Faculty of Sciences and Bioengineering Sciences.

For general guidelines, see student.vub.be/exams-in-times-of-corona and the Teaching and examination regulations.

Exam schedule

As usual, the exam schedules are published on the page ‘Exam Schedule’.

Force majeure

For this exam period, we distinguish between two types of force majeure:

  • Force majeure due to Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Only to be submitted if you know beforehand that you will not be able to attend exams that physically take place on campus.
E.g.: because you were not able to travel to Belgium yet

Use the temporary form 'Application Form - Force Majeure (WE)'
    Deadline: December 11, 2020

  • Regular force majeure
For example, because of illness (COVID-19 included), mandatory quarantine or because of the death of family member.

Use the regular form ‘Request form for displacement of exams for reason of force majeure’, which you can find on the page ‘Forms and regulations’.
Documentation to substantiate this force majeure should immediately be sent to facwe@vub.be.

The request does not automatically guarantee a new date or type of exam. The examinator will decide, for either type of force majeure, whether it is possible to organise a new exam.

Multiple examinations at the same time

Use the form ‘Request form for displacement of exams for reason of multiple examinations at the same time’, which you can find on the page ‘Forms and regulations'.

The examinator will decide whether it is possible to organise a new exam.
