Project title:

Can non-destructive elemental and nearly non-destructive isotopic analysis reveal the links between metallurgy and glass making in the past

Project summary:

It is important to develop (nearly) non-destructive techniques to be allowed to analyse precious historic artefacts without degrading them. There are some theories about possible links between glass and metallurgy, elemental and isotopic analysis offers the possibility to shed some light on from a different perspective and possibly (in)validate certain theories.
