Data-gedreven aanpak voor de voorspelling van Corana infecties

VUB-professor en biostatisticus Kurt Barbé (DIMA) heeft een wiskundig model ontwikkeld waarmee hij het aantal gekende besmettingen met het coronavirus kan voorspellen. De voorbije dagen lagen zijn predicties volledig in lijn met de cijfers die Volksgezondheid communiceerde. De berekeningen van de wiskundige tonen aan dat de grootschalige maatregelen niks te vroeg komen. Tegen 23 maart verwacht hij bijna 4.500 positieve tests in ons land.
