Welcome to the home page of the Tenth Edition of the conference Quantum Chemistry in Belgium (QCB10).
The research group of General Chemistry (ALGC) of the Free University of Brussels (VUB) is proud to host this Edition, which will take place on Friday February 10, 2012 at the Etterbeek Campus of the VUB . This edition will be chaired by Frank De Proft and Paul Geerlings.
This conference aims at providing an overview of the research activities of the different Belgian groups active in the field of theoretical and computational chemistry. To this end, there will be presentations given by all of the Belgian research groups. Furthermore, a poster session will organized to allow a complete and broad overview of all research topics.
It is also a tradition that internationally renowned speakers are invited to this conference to present to deliver a lecture. It is an honour and a pleasure to announce that Professors Gernot Frenking (Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany) and Kenneth Ruud (University of Tromsø, Norway) have agreed to deliver a plenary lecture at the this conference.
This edition completes the first tour of this conference around Belgium. This series of conferences has without doubt shown that theoretical chemistry, quantum chemistry and molecular modeling is very vivid in Belgium and that a very active and succesfull research community in this field is present covering a broad range of research topics.
